Homework help can be more than a study hall. It is an excellent time to teach study skills such as organizational skills, time management, how to prioritize, etc. And the use of young homework helpers, college and high school aged youth, is very popular with afterschool participants. It is also helpful to have a credentialed teacher on board who can serve as a liaison with the school day teaching staff, offer strategies for children with learning difficulties, and help identify youth who need tutoring support, which is different than homework help. Being a father myself I completely agree with you Mr. Paul but I also have my own fears of too much handholding for very young kids. I myself help students with their academics who are doing their masters or post graduation but I do not know if this would help very young kids
ReplyDeleteIts true that now parents don't have time to help their kids with their homework not only due to hectic schedule but now courses are not easy to understand. So it is best to hire an expert for kids homework or assignment.
